The UNE Women's Lacrosse team fell in another hard fought game last night against Curry College. Curry earned their first conference win while the Nor'easters slid to 1-2 in TCCC play.
The teams exchanged goals early in the first period, but Curry then pulled out to a 8-3 halftime lead. The Colonels would extend their lead early on in the second half to 11-4, before the Nor'easters started their push. The blue and white scored nine goals in the remaining half, but it was too little too late. Curry held on for a 16-12 win on UNE's home turf.
Sophomore Kate McCarter led the way for the Nor'easters notching a career high five goals. Danielle Cate finished with three goals and an assist, while junior captain, Mallory Long, finished the game with a goal and two assists.
The Nor'easters will look to get back on the winning track on Saturday as they travel to Newport, RI to square off with Salve Regina (2-4, 1-2).
